In 2015-2016 Holy Spirit School instituted a Sr. Johanna Rado Award to honor Sister Johanna on the occasion of her 70th Anniversary as a Religious Teacher Filippini. Sister Johanna was the first 8th grade teacher and the second principal of Holy Spirit School. Throughout the years, Sister Johanna was a spiritual leader, faithful role model, and a steadfast advocate for Catholic Education.
This award is given each year to a graduate who demonstrates fortitude, leadership, enthusiasm, perseverance, and conviction, as seen in Sister Johanna.
Here, Sister Johanna is shown with Brianna Leahy, the first winner of the award.
