The fifth, sixth, and seventh graders worked together in multi-age groups working as a team to build the tallest tower using only 100 index cards, scissors and some sticky labels. They had 30 minutes and could not attach the tower to the floor. There were many different ideas and strategies used, and the students quickly realized it wasn't as easy as it looks. Working together as a team was vital to the success of the challenge. Many teams had to redesign after their towers would not stand, but all teams were able to get something off of the ground. The winning tower had a height of 135cm!
